Fellowships for a Masters Degree
Hammer Fellowships for Master's Degree Students In Universities Who are Graduates of Non-university Institutions of Higher Education
Toward the beginning of the 1999/2000 academic year ,the PBC decided to establish a new fellowship program in memory of the former Minister of Education, Culture and Sport, the late Mr. Zevulun Hammer. The program grants fellowships to students who have completed their studies “With Distinction” at one of the non-university institutions of higher education and who continue their studies for a Masters Degree (in the research track) in one of the seven universities in Israel.
The program fulfills one of the policies of the PBC by encouraging the expansion of the Israeli higher education system through the development of existing colleges and the establishment of new colleges, while maintaining a proper academic level. This is based on the idea that the program encourages high achievement of college students who are judged by the same criteria as university graduates and maintains a pathway between the colleges and the universities.
