ENQA - European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (today known as the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education)

A European umbrella organization for all organizations active in quality assurance in higher education in Europe. It was established in 2000 following the Bologna Declaration and as part of the Bologna Process, with the aim of coordinating between the different organizations and promoting cooperation and mobility between European nations in all aspects of higher education.  The Council for Higher Education joined ENQA as an associate member rather than a full member, because Israel is not a member of the European Union.
